Beckley pupils celebrated World Book day today, with all our pupils coming to school dressed at characters from their favourite book. Throughout the day, children will be enjoying various activities to celebrate reading. One of the main activities in the afternoon is our ‘mystery reader’ event, where pupils choose a book to go and listen to being read, based only on the book title , and not knowing which member of staff will be reading it. At the end of school, there will also be a second-hand book sale.

A surprise visitor was the BFG! He said that he’s not very good at reading, but he wanted to come along and listen to some stories and search for some snozzcumbers! Here is a message he sent us!
