We recently had a glorious groundforce morning at school, where an amazing team of parents gave up some precious time at the weekend to carry out a number of projects to improve the school site. The focus for this particular Groundforce morning was our School Orchard, where parents worked incredibly hard building a woodland camp, putting in a slack line balance zone, building a storage area of wet weather clothing and a lot of tidying and gardening in the orchard.

As well as making a huge improvement to one of our main outdoor spaces, the  morning was also a fantastic time for parents to get to know one another and feel more ownership of the school themselves.

The intention is that we will run a number of Groundforce Days throughout the school year and so we are already coming up with ideas for the next on, in September!

Thank you so much to all those parents and families who helped – supplying materials, making cakes to keep us going, or turning up to work in the day itself. You are all amazing!
