At Beckley, we believe that taking children away from their classroom into a different space can open up creative opportunities for their learning. 
We have a well-established culture of using the spaces around the school as ‘outdoor classrooms’ and have recently improved some of our outdoor spaces by making them a little more weather proof. 
In October, we added large awning covers to the outdoor spaces by Acorns and Red Maple classes, to help keep some of the rain and wind out as we move into the winter months. Already, children are enjoying being able to use these spaces, even when the weather is miserable!
