This week, we have been notified that, once again, our school has been awarded the School games Gold Award for 2023-24! The School Games Mark is a national award given to schools who demonstrate their commitment to whole school sport by achieving a range of criteria that promote various sporting principles linked to engagement and participation. We are very proud of our award because we strongly believe in the benefits of physical exercise and organised sport for everyone. We have successfully demonstrated how children at Beckley participate in a wide range of different sports, through their PE lessons and extra-curricular clubs. This variety results in us having a high percentage of our pupils taking part in sports clubs and school competitions. We believe sport is a really positive experience for all of our children at Beckley, and being awarded a Gold Level year, after year is recognition of this. Well done everyone!
