Earlier in the week, the whole school visited the Hastings Contemporary Art Gallery and were inspired by the amazing we saw there. Pupils spent the day taking part in a range of different workshops, linked to the different exhibitions and these allowed them to learn more about the artists and the techniques they used to create their art. For some pupils, it was their first experience of going to an art gallery and for others it was an opportunity to find out more about some incredible abstract art. Each pupil produced several pieces of their own art work during the day and are now using these to do more art work at school. We will be putting on a large art exhibition as part of our ‘Brilliant Beckley’ open evening and open day at the end of term.

The whole school trip was only made possible by the generosity of our fantastic BSA who funded the trip, and also the amazing support from Stagecoach, who provided a special free bus service, just for Beckley school! Thank you so much to both!
