At the end of June, our Year 6 pupils joined with other Y6 classes from across Hastings and Rye at the Diocese of Chichester Year 6 Leavers Service in St Leonards on Sea. The service take place each year and is a lovely opportunity for pupils to look back and celebrate their time in primary school, and to look forward to their new start at secondary. It is always a special occasion, with so many pupils from church schools across the region celebrating together, recognising the shared and similar experiences on their journeys through primary school. Pupils from Beckley led prayers, took part in the procession of the various school banners, and made their donation to the offering taken by the diocese.

There is something very moving about seeing hundreds of Year 6 pupils all sharing these common experiences and the staff who accompanied them commented on the how outstanding our children were, being true ambassadors for our school!
